Yeah, I noticed... I also use that two... although I was more concerning charaters from the marvel database with more than 1 appearence...but your is a much more complete approach!
(I am making a huge poster for my house with the last version of each "significant" (more than 1 appearence or important in some way to the marvel universe) marvel character in micro versions... and that is why I want it to be as complete as possible :) ). Something like the wall paper here, but with more than 1000 characters from all the comics I have read from Marvel (everything from Civil War 1 till present)
I was looking at the characters in the marvel wikia, and I was surprised how many characters there aren't in the appendix... I always supposed the appendix was much more complete, but it appears I was wrong...
For example in the wikia there are about 3200 characters in the A and in the index there are about 1200
I know, I know... but even without the main characters, the wikia has a lot more characters... even characters that appear in only one comic :P
Just try to look for wikia "obscure characters" in the appendix, and then do the opposite... and you will see most characters in the appendix are in the wikia, but a lot of not main characters in the wikia are not in the appendix...
Of course, the profiles for those not main characters is much more complete in the appendix... that I don't doubt :)
